Veterinary Assistant
Chloe has always been surrounded by animals, a love she's had since childhood. Growing up in a home with dogs, cats, bunnies, chickens, reptiles, and even a bird, she developed a strong connection to a wide variety of creatures. This early exposure to animals fostered her deep passion for caring for and understanding them. It wasn't just a fleeting interest-animals became an integral part of her life, and Chloe knew from a young age that she wanted to pursue a career where she could help animals in meaningful ways.
Her journey into veterinary care began at the age of 16 when she started working as a kennel attendant for Salish Veterinary Hospital in November of 2022. This opportunity came after she enrolled in the veterinary medicine program offered at Mt. Si High School, where she gained foundational knowledge about the field and the care of animals. Chloe's dedication and enthusiasm for the work she was doing quickly became evident, and in 2024, her hard work paid off when she transitioned into a veterinary assistant role. This promotion marked a significant step forward in her career, and Chloe's excitement for her new responsibilities grew as she learned more about animal care and veterinary practices.
As she continues to gain valuable experience in the industry, Chloe has realized that her long-term goal is to become a veterinary technician. She is eager to expand her knowledge and skills, and she plans to enroll in technician school once she feels she's gained the necessary experience to take the next step. Chloe's commitment to helping animals and her determination to achieve her career goals reflect her passion for the field and her deep desire to make a positive difference in the lives of both animals and their owners.
Outside of work, Chloe's love for animals extends into her home, where she shares her life with her two dogs, Layla (pictured) and Daisy, who are both beloved members of her family. She also has a bearded dragon named Rocky, who brings a unique touch of character to her home, and a bord named Skittles, who adds an extra bit of personality and charm. These pets are not just animals to Chloe-they are companions who provide her with joy, laughter, and unconditional love.
When Chloe isn't caring for animals or working, she enjoys spending time with her friends, often hanging out and watching horror movies together. These moments of relaxation and fun are important to her, as they offer a chance to relax and bond with those she cares about.
