A Veterinary Clinic Who Really Cares

White/Grey Cat

At Salish Veterinary Hospital, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of veterinary medicine and ensuring every pet receives the exceptional care and attention they deserve. We understand that cats are not just pets-they are beloved members of the family. That's why we offer a comprehensive range of services to support long-term health and well-being. Our offerings include preventative healthcare to keep your cat healthy and thriving, as well as advance diagnostics and surgical services tailored to address complex medical needs. By combining compassionate care with cutting-edge expertise, we strive to provide the very best for your feline companions at every stage of life.

We Support Every Stage of Your Cat's Life

As your feline grows, they will move through five distinct stages of life:

  • Kitten: Birth up to 1 year
  • Young Adult: 1 year to 6 years
  • Mature Adult: 7 years to 10 years
  • Senior: 10 years and older
  • End-of-Life: Any age

As a cat progresses through the various stages of life, it will inevitably undergo physiological changes and encounter a range of life events that require careful attention and appropriate care. From early kitten to advanced geriatric feline medicine, consistent preventative healthcare is essential in optimizing your cat's quality of life. Keeping your cat happy and healthy helps you build a strong and lasting bond.

Cats are known for their ability to conceal illness, often becoming less active and less engaged when they are unwell. As a result, any signs of illness in cats are typically subtle, making it essential for pet owners to remain vigilant. Even a slight change in behavior should be considered a potential indicator for illness. For instance, if a cat, who typically greets their owner at the door, fails to do so upon their return, it could be a sign that something is wrong. Given the subtle nature of many feline health issues, we strongly encourage you to contact our office if you observe any noticeable changes in you cats behavior, so we can provide timely care and support.
