Shelby

Shelby was born and raised in the scenic region of Southern Idaho, where her love for animals and the outdoors began to take root. From a young age, she found herself drawn to animals and nature, and this passion ultimately led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Eager to deepen her knowledge and skills, Shelby attended University of Idaho, where she focused on her studies. After completing her education, she entered the veterinary field in 2021, eager to make a difference in the lives of the animals and their families. Since then, she has gained invaluable hands-on experience, working diligently to learn and grow in her role as an animal care professional.

In 2023, Shelby made the decision to move to the Snoqualmie Valley with her boyfriend, Gage, seeking new opportunities and a fresh start. She quickly became part of the Salish Veterinary team in July of 2023, where she continues to bring her passion for animal welfare and her strong work ethic to her daily tasks. Her compassionate nature and dedication to providing the best care for each patient has made her a welcomed addition to the team, and she is excited to contribute to the clinic's mission of delivering excellent veterinary services.

Shelby shares her home with two beloved pets, who have both captured her heart in unique ways. Her feisty Bengal cat, Goose, is known for if playful, energetic personality and his independent spirit. Goose brings joy and entertainment to Shelby's life, with his curious nature and sharp instincts. Shelby also adopted Wren (pictured), a sweet and resilient Border Collie mix, from Regional Animal Services of King County. Wren came into her life after being brought into Salish for orthopedic surgery following a serious vehicle accident. Wren's journey to recovery was a testament to his strength and perseverance, and Shelby couldn't resist giving him a forever home. Together, they've formed a strong bond, and Shelby has enjoyed helping Wren through his healing process.

When she's not busy caring for animals, Shelby enjoys spending her free time engaging in a variety of personal hobbies that allow her to unwind and express her creativity. One of her favorite past times is reading, where she can immerse herself in different worlds and dive into compelling stories that offer both relaxation and inspiration. Shelby also has a strong interest in craft hobbies, where she enjoys working on projects that allow her to tap into her artistic side and create something new. Additionally, she dedicates time to training Wren, helping him learn new commands and skills while strengthening the bond between them.
