
Owner and Veterinarian
Dr. Kent Thomazin is a distinguished veterinarian who graduated from Kansas State University in 1991. Growing up in the small, close-knit community of rural Nebraska, Dr. Thomazin was deeply influenced by his father, a dedicated veterinarian, whose work sparked a passion in him from a young age. Inspired by his father's compassion for animals and his commitment to the veterinary profession, Dr. Thomazin knew early on that he wanted to follow in his father's footsteps and pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
After graduating from KSU, Dr. Thomazin relocated to the Tri Cities area the practice large animal medicine for a few years. In 1993, he moved the the Seattle area to then star practicing small animal medicine. Over the years, his experience and dedication to his craft have earned him a solid reputation in the community. In 2016, Dr. Thomazin took the next step in his career by founding Salish Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Thomazin has developed a particular interest in orthopedic surgeries. However, his love for animals extends far beyond surgery, as he finds joy in all areas of small animal medicine and the challenges that come with it. Whether treating illnesses or performing routine check-ups, Dr. Thomazin remains committed to providing the best care possible for every animal that comes through his doors.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Thomazin is a proud father to three daughters-Kassie, Katie, and Klara-who are all currently in college, pursuing their own dreams. His is also the proud owner of two mischief cats, Larry (pictured) and Wilder, adding an extra dose of joy and chaos into his daily life.
In his spare time, Dr. Thomazin enjoys a variety of hobbies, including restoring classic cars, riding his motorcycle, golfing, and engaging in outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing. However, one of hos greatest joys is spending time with his daughters, always trying to keep up with their busy lives and the new adventures they embark on. Through all his endeavors, Dr. Thomazin remains deeply committed to his work, his family and the animals he cares for.
