
Veterinarian
Dr. Shan Rosenkranz grew up just north of the vibrant Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan region in Minnesota. Her academic journey began at Moorhead State University, where she earned her Bachelor Degree in Chemistry in 1993. With a passion for science, Dr. Rosenkranz went on to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian, attending University of Minnesota Veterinary College, where she graduated in 1997.
After completing her veterinary studies, Dr. Rosenkranz embarked on her professional career. She worked in Twin Cities for 8 years, developing a wealth of experience in small animal medicine. In 2006, Dr. Rosenkranz and her family made a significant life style change when they decided to move to Washington State, where they sought new opportunities and adventures.
Once in Washington, Dr. Rosenkranz joined a small animal hospital, serving the local community for an impressive 13 years. Her work there allowed her to refine her skills and deepen her expertise in various areas of veterinary medicine. In 2019, Dr. Rosenkranz made the exciting decision to join the Salish Veterinary Hospital team, where she continues to practice with passion and dedication.
Dr. Rosenkranz has a broad range of interest within veterinary medicine, with a particular focus on preventative care, internal medicine, and oncology. She is especially drawn to managing renal disease, immune-mediated disorders and endocrine conditions, areas where she can make a significant impact on her patients' quality of life. Her compassionate approach and commitment to ongoing learning allow her to provide the best possible care for her patients, addressing complex medical issues with empathy and precision.
In 2013, Dr. Rosenkranz and her husband, Gary, made the beautiful North Bend area their home. They quickly fell in love with the stunning landscapes of the the valley and found a deep sense of belonging in the close-knit community. Their home is shared with a spirited rescue terrier named Monkey (pictured), and a charming rescue cat named Dewey, who together make their household lively and full of joy.
Outside of her professional and family life, Dr. Rosenkranz has a passion for outdoor activities, embracing the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. She enjoys running, hiking, and cross-country skiing, often exploring the stunning trails and landscapes around her. Dr. Rosenkranz also loves to travel, seeking new experiences and cultures, which further enrich her life.
