Dr. Larson

Veterinarian

Dr. Jenny Larson was raised in both North Dakota and Southwestern Washington. Over the years, she and her husband, Mike, have had the opportunity to travel around the country, experiencing new places and meeting new people as Mike pursued his career in the military. Despite their travels, the Pacific Northwest always felt like home, and in 2023, Dr. Larson and her family were thrilled to return to this beloved region, settling in North Bend, where they are excited to put down roots and reconnect with the community.

Dr. Larson's educational journey in veterinary medicine began at the University of Florida College, where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2015. Following graduation, she sought out additional training and experience, completing a rotating small animal emergency and specialty internship at Northwest Veterinary Specialist in Clackamas, Oregon. This internship provided her with hand-on, intensive experience in a variety of fields, deepening her knowledge and expertise in both emergency care and specialized treatments. After her internship, Dr. Larson practiced general medicine and surgery in North Carolina, where she became well-versed in treating a wide array of conditions. During this time, she also worked relief shifts at a local emergency room on the weekends, further elevating her skills in emergency care and gaining a diverse set of experiences. Dr. Larson joined the Salish team in December on 2023.

Dr. Larson has always been passionate about the challenges of veterinary medicine, and she particularly enjoys working on complex soft tissue surgeries, dentistry cases, and emergency situations. Her ability to perform point-of-care ultrasound and her focus on preventative medicine and would care are just a few of the many ways she strives to improve the lives of her patients. One of Dr. Larson's core values is client education, and she is deeply committed to providing individualized care for each animal and their family, ensuring that pet owners are equipped with the knowledge and resources they need to make the best decisions for their pets' health and well-being.

Outside of her veterinary career, Dr. Larson leads and active and adventurous lifestyle. She enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Mike, and their two energetic sons, Torin and Viggo. Together, they explore the outdoors, engaging in activities such as mountain biking, hiking, skiing, kayaking, and fishing-making the most of their beautiful surroundings in the Pacific Northwest. Their family is also enriched by their four-legged companions, who provide endless love and laughter. Brie (pictured), a crazy husky mix, adds an abundance of energy and mischief to their home, while their two semi-evil cats, Gator and Gremlin, add a touch of welcomed chaos into the home. Dr. Larson enjoys every moment spent with her family, both human and animal, and is excited for the adventures and memories to come as they continue to grow together in the place they now proudly call home.
